Prerequesites

Gnickr requires that you have:

• Gnome 2.12
• Python 2.4
• gnome-python >= 2.12.3 or a patched version (see below)
• Python imaging library (PIL)

Pre-packaged

There is a package for Ubuntu Breezy, and an ebuild for Gentoo

Patched version of gnome-python

If you do not have the latest gnome-python (at least 2.12.3), you will need to upgrade or download one of these patched packages:

• For Gentoo you could use this overlay
• For Debian/Ubuntu use this package
